New Zealand A are over in Maroochydore, Australia at the moment and being put through some tough preparation ahead of their tour to Sri Lanka and India later this month.
With the team scheduled to spend six weeks and play at least 21 days of cricket in the subcontinent, there’s been a big focus on getting the team into the best possible shape before they head over.
The players are going through an extensive conditioning programme in some hot Australian conditions and Coach Grant Bradburn reports they’ve been “tough physical days, great for building character and spirit in the team.”
Check out the photos and short video clips below which show them in action (and at times recovering). Daryl Mitchell is the batman in the last clip, getting the better of bowler Anton Devcich with a big hit.
