NZC Congratulates Alan Isaac

New Zealand Cricket (NZC) has today paid tribute to former NZC Board Chairman and current ICC President, Alan Isaac, for his recognition in the New Year Honour's list.

Mr Isaac have been made a companion of the New Zealand order of merit (CNZM) for services to business and cricket.

Mr Isaac served on the NZC Board for 18 years and succeeded Sir John Anderson as NZC Board Chairman in 2008.  In July 2010 he was nominated for the position of ICC Vice-President where here served a two-year term before taking over from Sharad Pawar as ICC President in 2012.

NZC President, Stephen Boock, spoke with pride after hearing of the achievements saying: “Alan is a worthy recipient and everyone involved in cricket in New Zealand will be thrilled he has been rewarded in such a way.

“The companion of the New Zealand order of merit is wonderful recognition for his tireless devotion to cricket in this country.

“He was an outstanding leader during his time as NZC Board Chairman and we are fortunate that Alan continues to make a significant contribution to the game at a global level.”
