NZC announces new partnership with Specsavers

New Zealand Cricket today announced a significant commercial partnership with eye care specialists Specsavers.

Specsavers has reached agreement with New Zealand Cricket to provide sponsorship for all domestic cricket umpires.

Specsavers is one of the world's largest eye care companies and has over 45 stores in New Zealand. The company name is well recognised globally for offering top quality eye care and optical services. The organisation has franchises in 10 countries and last year sold more than 11 million frames.

New Zealand Cricket CEO Justin Vaughan said the new sponsorship is a positive step for both organisations. “It is an exciting new relationship and we know it’s going to have a positive impact on the sport,” he said. “We are delighted to have Specsavers as a part of the New Zealand Cricket family and we look forward to building a strong relationship with them."

The Specsavers logo will be visible on all domestic umpires’ uniforms for the HRV Cup, Plunket Shield, Men’s One-Day competition, Action Cricket Twenty20 and Action Cricket Cup.
