Neil Wagner added for opening ANZ Test

Neil Wagner has been added to the BLACKCAPS squad for the opening ANZ Test starting on Wednesday in Dunedin.

The 26-year-old fast bowler was a strong performer for the New Zealand XI against England in Queenstown this week, taking four wickets in England’s first innings.

BLACKCAPS head coach Mike Hesson used the Queenstown match as a trial for the final fast bowling spot in the 13-strong squad.

Just over 1000 tickets are available for each of the first three days of the opening Test at Dunedin’s University Oval due to stronger than expected pre-sales from visiting fans, including the highly entertaining Barmy Army. Fans are encouraged to pre-purchase tickets to avoid missing out.
