McClenaghan named in Tournament Team

BLACKCAPS Mitchell McClenaghan has continued his stellar start to international cricket, with a place in the ICC Champions Trophy 2013 Tournament Team his latest accomplishment.

McClenaghan picked up 11 wickets in just three matches, with an average of 13.09. He finished just one wicket behind leader Ravindra Jadeja (India), despite playing two fewer matches.

Overall McClenaghan now has 29 scalps in just 10 ODIs – one of the fastest starts to a career by a BLACKCAP in New Zealand history.

The rest of the tournament team was made up of five Indian players, three English and one each for South Africa, Pakistan and Sri Lanka.
