Captain Haidee Tiffen and Rowan Milburn put on a 92-run partnership to extend title-holding State Canterbury Magicians’ unbeaten run in the State League.
The Magicians have started the new season unbeaten in four games following their six-wicket defeat of State Wellington Blaze after finishing last season with a similar streak.
Wellington had Canterbury in some difficulty at 36 for two, but the partnership restored the hosts’ supremacy.
Tiffen ended on 58 not out and Milburn 45 as part of their winning score of 175 for four.
Wellington ended their 50 overs on 174 for eight, Rebecca Steele taking three for 30.
