England pace bowler Simon Jones looks likely to miss the Ashes series after heading to America for knee surgery.

With the Ashes set to start in late November, Jones' chances of taking part in the highly anticipated series are slim.
"His participation in the Ashes is extremely unlikely," team doctor Peter Gregory told BBC.
"The rehabilitation from this surgery must be taken slowly to give Simon the best chance of a good result."
"We do not expect Simon to be bowling for five months."
Jones was one of the heroes in England's historic Ashes win last year, taking 18 wickets at an impressive average of 21 runs.
The 27-year-old has been struggling with a number of injuries including an injured ankle that kept him out of the side's tour of Pakistan.
