Indian opener Wasim Jaffer has scored a magnificent double century to help his side set the West Indies 393 for victory with one day left of the first Test in Antigua.
Jaffer hit 24 fours and a six in his knock of 212, before he was bowled nine balls before tea, helping India amass 521-6 declared. In reply, the West Indies were 13-0 at stumps.
India began the day 85 runs ahead and Jaffer, along with captain Rahul Dravid, went about setting a sizeable target.
Dravid himself notched up his 43rd Test half-century, but after the lunch break, the run rate slowed considerably, thanks to the tight bowling of Ian Bradshaw, who conceded just 47 runs from a 25-over spell.
The pair added 203 for the third wicket before Dravid was eventually caught by Bradshaw off Dave Mohammed for 62.
But there was no denying Jaffer, who turned his second Test century into a double in only his 11th test.
Bradshaw eventually removed Jaffer, but after tea there was no respite for the West Indies bowlers as Mahendra Dhoni (69) and Mohammed Kaif (46 not out) smashed the attack to all corners of the park.
Dhoni was in superb form, smashing six sixes and four fours in his 51-ball innings, before he was dismissed in controversial circumstances.
The wicketkeeper-batsman smacked Mohammed to deep mid-wicket, looking for his seventh six, but the catch was taken on the rope by Daren Ganga, and TV replays could not show conclusively whether he was standing on the rope when he completed the catch.
After the umpires deliberated for ten minutes, Dhoni eventually accepted Ganga's word, and Dravid declared the Indian innings closed.
Chris Gayle (2 not out) and Ganga (10 not out) then combined to steer the home side safely to stumps without the loss of a wicket.
