Because of all the amazing support from the Canterbury public during the season, the next game is the Wizards’ shout – which means free entry for everyone coming through the gate this Tuesday.
The home town heroes take on the Wellington Firebirds in the final round of the one-day competition at the Village Green and with the Wizards still in the hunt for a place in the final so the game will be full of thrills and spills.
Canterbury Cricket CEO Lee Germon said he is hugely appreciative of the support Cantabrians have shown for the Wizards. “We’d just like to say a big thank you. We’ve had record crowds during the HRV Cup and the big crowds have helped boost the morale within our camp,” he said. “So come down and support the wizards in their last home game for free and in turn hopefully we can make it through to the one day final.”
At the game – proudly supported by Speight’s – you will see the likes of Peter Fulton and BLACKCAP Shane Bond go head to head with BLACKCAP Jeetan Patel and international superstar Owais Shah.
Start time this Tuesday is 11am, so pack a picnic, enjoy the sunshine and revel in the cricket action.
