In making 139 for Worcestershire against Northamptonshire on Thursday, 40-year-old Hick became the eighth player to have achieved the feat.
"It was a special day for me. There's quite a lot of people who have sat here for many years and hopefully enjoyed my batting and it's been a good day for them as well," said Hick, who averaged a tick over 31 in 65 Tests for England.
"To get the hundredth hundred for Worcestershire here at New Road adds a bit to it."
Hick's ton helped his side reach 9-543 before a declaration.
The century brings Zimbabwean-born Hick up to 130 first-class hundreds in total - in eighth position all-time.
England legend Sir Jack Hobbs holds the record with 197 first-class centuries.
