The WHITE FERNS face what is effectively a ‘must-win’ match against Australia today at 1pm - victory greatly increasing their chances of making the ICC Women’s World T20 semi-finals.

Watch the match LIVE on SKY SPORT 1 from 12:30pm or follow LIVE SCORING on the NZC website.

While mathematically the WHITE FERNS will still be in the hunt following the Australia match-up, the team are well aware of how this match will go in shaping the remainder of the tournament.

Hard hitting all-rounder Sophie Devine didn’t mince her words in the lead up to the clash, explaining how the team have a narrow focus as they prepare for Australia.

“We’re really looking forward to it. Anytime you put the Kiwis versus the Aussies it’s going to be a big match. We’re absolutely pumped for it and we actually have a fantastic record against them in World T20’s and World Cups,” she said.

“Whether I’m opening the batting, down at six, seven or eight. I don’t really care, at the end of the day I want to go out there and do a job for the team,” she said.

Meanwhile young star Amelia Kerr is keeping a level head despite the magnitude of the upcoming fixture.

“I’m feeling good at the moment, there’s a bit of turn here in the West Indies which is helpful. It’s just about adjusting to the conditions here, we’ve found we can bowl a bit shorter.”

Aside from cricket, Kerr is also soaking up all aspects of the tour, making the most of the team’s visit to a local school.

“I love it over here, the people are awesome – love to dance, love to sing. We went to Diamond Secondary School the other day and the kids were brilliant, really welcoming and just grateful for everything so it was great to experience that,” she said.
