A rousing atmosphere is in store for the Otago Volts and HELL Wellington Firebirds with confirmation this afternoon that tickets to tomorrow's HRV Cup Final have sold out.
Otago Cricket CEO Ross Dykes said Dunedin is looking forward to hosting New Zealand's Twenty20 showcase event, which will also be televised live on SKY Sport from 4.30pm.
It will be the Firebirds' first experience of an HRV Cup Final, in front of a capacity University Oval crowd of 3,375.
Hosts the Otago Volts meanwhile won the title in 2008/09 (by virtue of being the top qualifier after that year's Final was abandoned) and were the beaten finalists in the 2006/07 season, when champions the Auckland Aces hosted the event.
