The BLACKCAPS have named their starting XI for the four-day warm-up match against Australia A starting today at Allan Border Field in Brisbane.
With the full squad fit and available spinner Daniel Vettori has been named 12th man in a side that features a four-man pace attack.
Team management said it was a good opportunity to give the fast bowlers a run and that the conditions at Allan Border Field should suit pace bowling.
Meanwhile, light drizzle and bad light has delayed proceedings with the toss scheduled for half an hour before the start of play. The umpires will reassess the conditions in 30 minutes time.
Australia A won the toss and elected to bat.
