Canterbury vs Auckland
Auckland; 246/5(Sam Barriball 100*, Pam Yates 48) beat Canterbury; 116(Gina Hart 47, Shivani Siva 3-23, Lucille Matthews 3-13)
Auckland wore the pads first on what some called the game of the tournament. Sam Barriball scored the only century of the tournament with 100 not out off 129 balls. She was involved in a partnership of 120 for the 5th wicket with Pam Yates that saw Auckland reach 245/5 at the end of their 50 overs. In reply Canterbury regularly lost wickets with no one scoring much apart from Gina Hart, who was just short of a 50 with 47. Canterbury was all out for 116 in 37 overs which meant both Auckland and Canterbury finished on 19 points but Auckland won the tournament on superior run rate.
Wellington vs Central Districts
Wellington; 172/9(Hannah Bedford 60*, Esther Lanser 4-28) beat CD; 151(Esther Lanser 35, Olivia Buphr Intr 3-18)
Wellington batted first today on the final day of the WND and gathered a tidy score of 172. Hannah Bedford was a star today ending the innings on 60 not out.The opposition's Esther Lanser was just as bright, ending with an amazing 4 wickets for only 28 runs. That was not all for Lanser though, adding to CD's score of 151 with 35 of her own. Olivia Buphr Intr was one of the weapons used against CD to gain a win for Wellington by 21 runs.
Northern Districts vs Otago
ND; 198/8(Brooke Kirkbride 45, Anna Peterson 54, Kathryn Gregory 3-37) beat Otago; 103(Kylie Mulcahy 5-22)
ND were first out at the crease today against Otago. Brooke Kirkbride and Anna Peterson put on a partnership of 115 runs for the 2nd wicket. Kirkbride scoring 45 and Peterson 54 to help ND reach 198. In reply Otago scored very little as did all the players in the team to be all out for 103 after 35.3 overs. Kylie Mulcahy had the batsmen wide eyed with a 5 wicket bag for only 22 runs off 10 overs. Securing a 95 run win against Otago.
