Every player, every club and every level are welcome at the National Cricket Club

The National Bank is extending its support of cricket in New Zealand, introducing a national cricket club for cricket lovers at every level - whether you play, the school field or at your local cricket club.

The National Cricket Club (NCC) is designed to support grassroots cricket nationally & with the support from NZ Cricket brings the elite players and coaches to local cricket lovers.  It’s free to join and brings together seminars for club administrators, coaching for coaches and super skills sessions for school aged cricketers.

The NCC is kicking off throughout the upcoming National Bank series against India, taking place a day before the ODI matches in Napier, Wellington, Hamilton and Auckland.

At the end of the day all participants can join a complimentary BBQ hosted by members of the BLACKCAPS.

The administrators' seminars are hosted by leading sports managers and are for those involved in running club and regional cricket, covering everything from growing your membership to technology and fundraising.

The coaching clinics are ideal for volunteer coaches from primary school level through to the 1st XI. Participants have the opportunity to listen to some of New Zealand’s leading high performance coaches covering the fundamentals of coaching.

School-aged players will benefit from Super Skills Sessions with some of New Zealand’s BLACKCAPS and cricket legends, who will be on hand to share their knowledge and help improve batting, bowling and fielding skills.

Head of Sponsorship Sue McGregor says that with the introduction of the NCC The National Bank now supports all levels of cricket from, grass roots & social, and international cricket.

“We recognise that fantastic cricket starts at a local level and by creating a club for cricket lovers everywhere; we now provide genuine, authentic support at a grass roots level.’

The National Bank Series continues this month with the Indian tour starting with the Twenty20 match at AMI Stadium in Christchurch on 25 February.
