England lose again

England has equaled its heaviest One Day International defeat with a 165 run loss in the third game of the series in Pakistan.

Kamran Akmal steered the home side to victory with his second century in as many matches.

Pakistan, put into bat first, reached 353-6 with Akmal finishing on 109 and Abdul Razzaq on 50.

The total, the most ever conceded by England, proved too much as the visitors collapsed to be all out for 188 in 42 overs.

The last time England lost by 165 was in 1994 against a gallant West Indies outfit.

Ian Bell proved to be the pick of the English batsmen with a top score of 37 as Pakistan's Shaoib Malik ripped through the visitors with an impressive 3-29.

The result in Karachi leaves England 2-1 down in the series with two to play.
