England fold again

England's post Ashes woes have continued with another defeat on its tour of Pakistan, this time losing a warm up game against Pakistan A.

The visitors lost by a single wicket after Pakistan's Bazid Khan hit a match-winning unbeaten 90 and helped his side to its target of ten runs from the final over at Bagh-e-Jinnah Stadium.

With Michael Vaughan out of the One Day International (ODI) series due to a knee injury, England folded to 7-236 in their allotted 45 overs.

The pick of the England batsmen were Matthew Prior with 72 and Paul Collingwood with 75 not out.

England appeared to have the game in its grasp when the Pakistan second-stringers found themselves needing 22 runs from the final three overs.

However, Bazid kept his cool and ensured the success with a boundary off the penultimate ball.

England, coming off a 0-2 Test series loss to Pakistan will take them on in a five match ODI series starting at the weekend.
