CricHQ releases updated iOS app

CricHQ are excited to announce the release of the most advanced CricHQ app yet, iOS version 4.5.0.

At the culmination of many months’ hard work by CricHQ’s development team, this latest release includes integrating advanced statistical calculations which have been developed by one of cricket’s leading sports statistical researchers.

Commenting on this latest release, CricHQ CE Simon Baker said: “Our goal is to deliver a unique experience to the cricket community via an easy-to-use platform and data normally only accessible at the elite level. The predictive analysis features we’ve developed and incorporated into our iOS app update put us in a great position to achieve this goal.”

Users now have performance diagnostics in the form of CricHQ projections. These predict a batting team’s projected score and winning probability, and are updated on a ball-by-ball basis. They also allow for the impact of in-match events to be factored into a match’s predicted outcome, meaning that as the match progresses and more data is collected, the predictions are updated and the margins of error reduce.

CricHQ have also enhanced the live scorecard screen. This improved scorecard allows cricket fans to easily follow the fortunes of their favourite teams throughout the match with live updates, ball-by-ball commentary and a scorecard summary.  The scorecard summary section has also had a makeover with the graphs and wagon wheels now able to be manipulated in real time to see individual performances.

Speaking about the iOS 4.5.0 update, Baker said: “To date our focus has been on providing the best cricket scoring application available. Although scoring on the app continues to be the market leader, we now feel our app provides the most advanced way to follow cricket from around the world, at the grassroots right the way through to international cricket.”

For users who already have the CricHQ iOS app they simply need to update to the latest version to enjoy these benefits, while new users can now download this version of the app in the Apple app store free of charge.
