Canterbury hold an unassailable lead in the National Women’s Under 21 tournament in Lincoln, after rain washed out both Twenty20 rounds on the penultimate day without a ball being bowled.
Consistent rain meant that all cricket for the day was abandoned, leaving one last round to be played tomorrow. With a six point gap between them and second place, Canterbury is now certain to be crowned champions.
The first round draw from today will now take place tomorrow morning to allow all sides to have played each in some format other at least once.
Final round draw:
Canterbury v Auckland
Wellington v Central Districts
Otago v Northern Districts
Points table:
Canterbury 20
Auckland 14
Wellington 14
Central Districts 5
Northern Districts 4
Otago 0
