Bowden makes Champions Trophy bow

Umpire Billy Bowden was the first New Zealander to see action in the ICC Champions Trophy.

Bowden stood in the middle as the defending champion West Indies defeated Zimbabwe in their first qualifying match.

He also acted as fourth umpire in the competition opener between Sri Lanka and Bangladesh.

He will act as an on-field umpire in four more games, and as a third or fourth official in four others – including the BLACKCAPS v Pakistan game in Mohali
