Yuvraj Singh took his second hat-trick of the tournament to help his Kings XI Punjab team to a one run win over the Deccan Chargers.  Victory looked unlikely as Deccan Chargers batsman Rohit Sharma was hitting the ball to all parts but his dismissal for 42 off 26 with three balls to spare turned the game for the Kings XI Punjab team.

The Delhi Daredevils completed a clinical 14 run win over the Rajasthan Royal.  An aggressive unbeaten 79 from 55 balls by AB de Villiers ensured a competitive total of 150 was registered.  The Rajasthan Royals were on the back foot early lossing three wickets after 2.2 overs and were never able to recover.
