BLACKCAPS captain Brendon McCullum won the toss and elected to bat after winning the toss in the first match of The National Bank One Day International Series against South Africa at Westpac Stadium in Wellington.
James Franklin, who dislocated a finger at training yesterday, has been cleared to play following a fitness test earlier today. Michael Bates has been named 12th man while Andy McKay and Tarun Nethula are the squad members not included.
