New Zealand Cricket medical staff today confirmed Canterbury Wizards fast bowler Hamish Bennett has been ruled out of the HRV Cup competition.
New Zealand Cricket National Selector Manager Kim Littlejohn said: “Hamish has been suffering from a lower back injury since the fast bowling camp earlier in the year.
“Unfortunately he has suffered a set-back and won’t be fit for to play for the Canterbury Wizards in the upcoming HRV Cup.
“He requires further assessment by medical specialists to determine the best course of action.”
