Aussies to tour Bangladesh

Australia's first full tour of Bangladesh in April will feature two Tests and three one-day internationals, the Bangladesh Cricket Board announced on Wednesday.

The Aussies will arrive in Dhaka on April 6 for two Tests from April 9 to 13 and April 16 to 20 before three one-dayers on April 23, 26 and 28.

The Test series will be the second between the two nations and follows Bangladesh's tour of the top end in 2003.

Bangladesh has lost 36 of its 41 Test matches and drawn four with its only win coming against Zimbabwe, but it does boast a win over Australia in one-day cricket, upsetting the world champion by five wickets last year in Cardiff.

They also broke a run of outs in the one-day arena last month when they defeated Sri Lanka at home by four wickets.

The Australians are currently touring South Africa, where they are involved in five one-day internationals and three Tests, while Bangladesh will take on Sri Lanka in Bogra after losing the opening Test in Chittagong by eight wickets.

The host takes on Sri Lanka in the second of its two Test matches in the northern city of Bogra from Wednesday.

Bangladesh lost the first Test in Chittagong by eight wickets.
