Scores

After a tough start to this year's tournament, Wellington made it two wins on the bounce to complete the one-day phase on a positive note.

Otago opted to bat first but produced just two scores of note as Wellington recovered strongly with the ball.

Prolific opener Cam Jackson continued his good run for Otago with a half century off 58 balls at the top, having shared a 66-run opening stand with Josh Kellett before becoming the second Otago wicket at 92 for two in the 20th.

First drop Harrison Biggs carried on throughout the innings en route to a top score of 70, but lost five partners cheaply through the back 17 overs that restricted Otago's ability to capitalise at the death, washing up at 208 for eight in the 50 overs.

Wellington opening batsman Devan Vishvaka then ticked off more than half the target by himself, carrying his bat for an unbeaten century - 118* off 128 balls (11 x 4).

It took Vishvaka just a tad over two hours to seal the match, leading the way with contributions coming from each of his top order mates.
