After three rounds of The Ford Trophy, Northern Districts remains unbeaten, but this wasn't the way they wanted that to happen today.
Rain was the winner on the day as ND and the Otago Volts shared their Ford Trophy points in Hamilton, after a lengthy wait for the toss - only to have the wet weather return to prevent the Volts from bowling first.
Jeet Raval and his men now head north to one of their other home venues, Cobham Oval in Whangārei, to host the Auckland Aces on Thursday, while the Volts go to New Plymouth's Pukekura Park to meet the Central Stags, whose match against the Wellington Firebirds in Palmerston North was also rained off this afternoon.
