Sara McGlashan's 86 Sets Up Win for CD Over Auckland

The Central Hinds were victorious after only managing to bat for 46.2 overs and making 181 in their State League match against the Auckland Hearts at Melville Park.

The Hinds top order all failed with the only significant score coming from number four batsman Sara McGlashan who batted 143 minutes for her 82.

Rachel Priest did offer some support to McGlashan putting on 94 for the fifth wicket and making a patient 36.

It was the running between the wickets that hurt the Hinds with four run outs in the innings.

All of the Auckland bowlers were economical with the wickets shared around.  Prashilla Mistry took two for 31 off her eight.

Ros Kember (34), Megan Tremaine (20) and Prashilla Mistry (28) all got starts for Auckland with no one producing an innings of any substance.

Central bowled tight lines and took regular wickets rolling Auckland for 120 in the 41st over.  Aimee Mason finished with three for 18 off her 10 and Abby Burrows took two for 16 off seven.

The win puts the Central Hind in outright second after five rounds while Auckland remain near the bottom of the table.
