With both teams in desperate need of all four points, the Otago Volts and Tulsi Wellington Firebirds were forced to share the spoils, after inclement weather saw the match abandoned.
It became clear early on at University Oval in Dunedin that conditions weren’t going to allow for a contest and the game was called off. It wasn’t the outcome either team were looking for, with the Volts currently in sixth and the Firebirds in fifth.
The next round starts on Wednesday.
