NZA complete 2-0 series win

New Zealand A completed a 2-0 series win over their Zimbabwe cricket counterparts in Harare today.

They won the third four-day match by nine wickets with more than a day to spare after chasing down a modest target of 168, with opener Tim McIntosh stroking a fluent 76 not out.

He shared an opening partnership of 122 with Peter Ingram, who made 63, before Martin Guptill added an unbeaten 25 to see the tourists home.

The New Zealanders twice dismissed Zimbabwe A cheaply, with seamers Chris Martin and Graeme Aldridge sharing seven wickets when the hosts were dismissed for 186 in their first innings.

In Zimbabwe's second innings of 189, a third seamer, Brent Arnel, shone by taking three for 47 to end the series with 13 wickets at an average of 18.53.

New Zealand A scored 208 in their first innings, with wicketkeeper Gareth Hopkins topscoring with 69 after the tourists had slumped to 93 for six.
