The New Zealand XI’s first Twenty20 match against England has been rescheduled to tomorrow afternoon, after persistent rain saw tonight’s fixture abandoned after 9.1 overs.
The match was called off with the New Zealand XI 70 for one in the first-innings, after they’d been sent in to bat by the tourists.
The two sides will start afresh tomorrow at Cobham Oval in Whangarei, with the match set to get underway at 2:00pm. Entry to tomorrow’s match will be free of charge to the public.
Tomorrow’s media opportunity with a player from each side will now take place at the end of the Twenty20 in a post-match press conference.
