The first University Oval match under lights will now take place tomorrow evening after pre-match rain saw tonight's intended fixture between the Otago Volts and Canterbury Wizards unable to get underway due to wet ground conditions.
The Volts and Wizards collect two points each for the abandonment with the home side remaining in the early lead on the HRV Twenty20 points table. The Volts now look forward to meeting the SKYCITY Northern Knights at the same venue tomorrow evening, with a brighter forecast, in part two of their home Dunedin doubleheader.
The Canterbury Wizards, meanwhile, put away their HRV Twenty20 uniforms until 30 November, when they will be hosted by the Auckland Aces.
Live coverage of tomorrow evening's clash between the Knights and Volts will begin at 7pm on SKY Sport with the Knights today naming three spinners in their squad together with new Australian imports Ben Laughlin and Dan Harris, both players in line to make their debut for the side.
