Hinds finish top

Play was abandoned without a ball being bowled in the top of the table clash between the Wellington Blaze and Central Hinds in the Women’s One-Day competition at Kelburn Park in Wellington.

The teams took two points each from the washed out match and are clear at the top of the table with the Hinds finishing top with 28 points and will be rewarded with a home final.  The other four teams have a match in hand but cannot overtake the competition front runners.

The two sides meet again tomorrow in the final Twenty20 match that was scheduled to be played at the Basin Reserve buy has been moved to Kelburn Park because of weather conditions.  Third placed Wellington will be hoping to win so they can secure second spot and book a place in the final against the Central Hinds.
