The day one match at Manawaroa Park had Auckland Grammar School batting first against St. Andrew’s College.

Auckland Grammar batted patiently during their 40 overs and reached the impressive score of 171/8.

Ritapraj Gill led the way with 41 runs, and Flynn Dudson pitched in with 24.

Etienne Harrington-Watt was the pick of the bowlers for St. Andrew’s College, claiming two for 25.

St. Andrew’s College had a big run-chase on their hands and, despite a good innings of 32 from Jesse Frew, they fell 91 runs short of their target — Sanjeev Somnath the key wicket taker for Auckland Grammar School, picking up four for 20, with Kaylin Daji helping out with two for 16.
