NZC inks new deal with Castore

Castore is to become the official outfitter for the BLACKCAPS and WHITE FERNS teams – and their fans, from the start of next summer.   In a new six-year deal beginning from next October, the UK-based apparel firm will outfit the WHITE FERNS white balls squads, and the BLACKCAPS short-form and Test squads, as well as supplying replica gear for New Zealand cricket supporters.

Obituary: Derek Stirling

New Zealand fast-bowler Derek Stirling has died in Hastings aged 62. BLACKCAP No.154, Stirling played six Tests and six ODIs between 1984 and 1986, and is best remembered for a strong tour of Pakistan, in which he toiled on unhelpful pitches and took four for 88 at Karachi.
